Summer Fitness Opportunities

GRIT Adaptive is offering summer fitness classes for youth and adults with special needs, as well as a summer strength class for typical ability youth. Check out the classes below!

Adult Adaptive Summer Fitness

Tuesday and/or Thursday June 11 - July 30*

Adaptive Fitness Class for adults (ages 18+). Staff to class ratio will be 1:5. If a participant needs a 1:1 support, Parent/PCA/Caregiver participation is required.

 

Join us for an empowering class designed for adults with disabilities, led by a Certified Adaptive Special Needs Trainer. This class is designed to help individuals with physical, cognitive, or developmental disabilities build strength, improve mobility, and boost confidence in a supportive environment. Come as you are, move how you can, and leave stronger every time.


*No Class July 2

9:00am - 9:30am

Pricing (30 minute class):

  •  2x/week (14 sessions): $150 
  •  1x/week (7 sessions): $100

Youth Adaptive Summer Fitness

Youth Summer Strength

Tuesday and/or Thursday June 11 - July 30*

Strength training for typical ability youth (ages 10-18) in a small group setting. With a max of 10 per class, we will be able to focus on proper technique. You will improve your physical fitness, power, strength, and confidence! Led by a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist. Great cross-training for all sports!


A variety of equipment will be used. Dumbbells, bands, TRX, battle ropes, ladders, etc. Good for beginners as well as advancing athletes.


This class requires a level of independence and physical ability that may not be accessible to individuals with certain disabilities .  We offer Youth Adaptive Fitness that may be more suitable for individuals with disabilities.


*All proceeds go to GRIT Adaptive programming for youth and adults with special needs

*No Class July 2

10:30am - 11:20am or 11:30am - 12:20pm

Pricing (50 minute class):

 2x/week (14 sessions): $250

*GRIT Adaptive uses the customer account system of our host site, Jam Hops, for class and event registration and payment processing. All tuition and event payments are disbursed directly to GRIT Adaptive. 


As of February 1, 2026, a 2.69% fee will be charged on all transactions paid with a Visa, Mastercard, or Discover credit card. This fee does not apply to American Express, Debit Cards, Cash, Check payments, or ACH/Bank Draft payments. Surcharges will be automatically listed as a separate transaction on your payment receipt in the event you pay with Visa, Mastercard, or Discover credit cards. 

About the Instructor

All classes will be coached by Katie Landau, Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Certified Adaptive Special Needs Trainer. 


Katie is the former Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for St. Catherine University, and has coached age 6 - 90 and everything in between!
